Founded in 2012 by Susanne Pontus Persson, Public Studio designs, produces and crafts objects and furniture for the home and public spaces with longevity and sustainability at the center of attention.

All our products, handmade in our work shop situated in a nature reserve just 25 min south of central Stockholm, are available for sale through us and selected retailers.

Public Studio has experience in large and small projects such as marble interiors for homes, restaurants, bars, hotels and offices, and work both with interior architects and decorators as well as with private customers.

PUBLIC MARBLE

Public Studio works mainly, although not exclusively, in natural marble. All sourced and imported by us direct from small scale sustainable quarries around Europe, also focusing on using left over and vintage marble from closed down quarries as much as we can. 

Always using each spill piece of marble from our own and others production, letting these spill pieces, their specific character and limitations, be the starting point for each subsequent emerging unique piece of work.
